Braive set out to make mental health support more accessible and less clinical. The goal was to turn digital therapy into something people would actually want to use. Warm, structured and personal. We needed to translate cognitive behavioural therapy into a guided experience that felt human at every step.

Designing for therapy means strict rules and deep responsibility. Content had to align with psychological research, user data required careful handling and every interaction needed to feel safe. The product had to scale to clinics, workplaces and individuals without losing empathy or trust. Tight compliance and medical review cycles shaped the design rhythm.

Guiding behaviour through design
We began by mapping user emotion across each step of therapy. Early research showed that visual tone mattered as much as flow. Users engaged longer when the interface felt calm and predictable. I led the design direction, defining interaction models and system patterns that kept users oriented through complex journeys. The experience balanced progress tracking with emotional reassurance, using layout and rhythm to communicate stability. Regular workshops with psychologists kept the product grounded in real therapeutic practice.

The tone of every element, from buttons to microcopy, avoided pressure or judgement. The result was a product that felt supportive, not prescriptive.
